Past outreach has included the following:
- Sponsoring seminars and workshops on self-help and group support methods such as WRAP and BRIDGES
- Hosting educational meetings featuring mental health professionals on various topics
- Providing a web site with helpful information and links to useful sites
- Having a Mental Health Self-help and Peer Support information booth at the Wayne County Fair since 2005
- Sponsoring fellowship events, community awareness events, classes and support groups
- Providing books to all Wayne-Holmes schools for teacher and student use to promote the mental health of children (click here to see chart with details)
- Maintaining a mental health lending library open during office hours and by appointment
The purpose of the library is to provide information about mental health issues, as well as to encourage and entertain. Access to the library is possible during office hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-2 (please call ahead if possible). In part of the library was funded through a grant from the Wayne County Community Foundation along with donations from many individuals.

Wayne Holmes Mental Health Coalition is a non-profit corporation that provides a place for people with mental health concerns and psychiatric disorders to help one another along the road to wellbeing and recovery. We do this through self-help, peer support, education and advocacy activities.
